HEAD coach Steve Bennett is excited by what his side’s offence have to offer after recording back-to-back 50 point games.
The Supermarine-based side beat Torbay Trojans 59-22 in their second game of the season before recording a 50-16 success over Oxford at the weekend, leaving them with a 2-1 record so far this season.
Bennett and his side have worked hard during the off-season to employ a varied offence, which the head coach has been impressed with.
“It was another great offensive performance against Oxford and the line especially were superb. Their blocking assignments were incredible and it won us the game,” he said.
“We had extra training sessions to prepare for Oxford so it was all hands on deck for that, and the guys knuckled down and were superb.
“We executed everything we wanted to do really well and that’s really pleasing.
“Dan Thorne grabbed the offence by the scruff of the neck and he led us down the field superbly.”
Meanwhile, the club’s Junior Varsity team is set to compete for a third place finish in the BACL league in the coming weeks while the club are also holding a graduation game for their 18+ players against the Berkshire Renegades.
Following that, the club will be looking to graduate a number of their players into the senior side.
