Swindon Robins unveil Nielsen signing

Stefan Nielsen has been announced as the Swindon Robins third signing of the Winter Break.

Danish rider Nielsen will join Charles Wright as the Robins second reserve after enjoying his debut season in the Elite League this year after racing for the Belle Vue Aces last season.

After a tough start to the season for the Belle Vue Aces in which he scored 0 in his first meeting for the club away at Wolverhampton, Nielsen soon became an extremely reliable rider in the number seven jacket, regularly scoring 5 or more points with his end of season points total coming to an impressive 133 points

Speaking to TotalSport, Swindon manager Alun Rossiter had this to say on the new signing.

“We weren’t sure at first whether Stefan would be an option and it all depended on where he would be racing in the Premier League next season.”

“But were really happy we have managed to get him and I’m sure the fans will be as well.”

The signing of Nielsen means that the Swindon Robins have now secured both of their reserve signings with Charles Wright once again returning to the Wiltshire club.

Nielsen may be a surprise signing to some given his lack of experience racing in the Elite League, but one thing for sure is that this young rider will definitely provide exciting riding.
